The Client:
A leading US based Finance company.
Business Challenge:
- Payments to Insured/Claimants were not allowed when Claims Representatives work on Siebel local database (disconnected mode). This was because some of the financial validations such as duplicate payment check, CRs financial authority check etc…cannot be done when not connected to online database and also the payment information cannot be synchronized to core Legacy Financial system.
- CRs were losing their valuable time in waiting to issue checks in certain areas where there is limited or no wireless high-speed access.
- Payments to customers are absolutely necessary in some cases even if network connectivity is unavailable. But due to system limitations, client was not able to meet this requirement.
Solution:
- Invenger took the initiative to analyze client's issue and provided a solution to address the issue.
- Partial/Pre financial validation will be done against local database. Later, when data is synched up with server, the complete validation will take place
- Once data is synched in online database, an automatic interface will synch up with Legacy system
- Set of Check Numbers would be generated by Legacy system and reserved for each Claims Representatives. These Check Numbers will be used on locally created payments
- Phased roll out is in place, to activate remote payment features to users in a phased manner
- Additional management reports are being generated regularly to review local checks and prevent duplicate/fraudulent payments
